How to Set Up Wavlink AX1800 via ap.setup
Follow these steps to complete the setup on any device.
- Plug your Wavlink AX1800 extender into a wall outlet near your main router. Wait for the LED to turn solid green (about 90 seconds).
- On your phone or laptop, open WiFi Settings and connect to the network ending in _Ext (e.g. Wavlink_Extender_Ext or Wavlink_AX1800_Ext).
- Open Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. Click the address bar at the top of the browser window.
- Type
ap.setupand press Enter. If the page doesn't load, use192.168.10.1instead. - Log in with username: admin and password: admin.
- The AP Setup Wizard will launch. Select your home WiFi network from the list.
- Enter your home WiFi password and click Connect or Apply.
- Wait 2 minutes for the extender to restart and sync with your router.
- Move the extender halfway between your router and the dead zone area.
- Reconnect your devices to the extended network. Setup is complete!
WPS Setup Method (Quickest)
No browser needed. Requires a WPS button on your router.
- Place your AX1800 extender near your router and power it on.
- Wait for the solid green LED.
- Press the WPS button on the extender. The WPS LED blinks.
